Realtor Volunteer Days - Second Harvest

Description

Please park in the rear parking lot through the metal gate as the guest spots in front are for temporary visitors. Volunteers enter through the double glass doors by the rear lot into our volunteer lobby. *Volunteers must be at least 10 years of age, and anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult chaperone. ** Please note, for groups that have minors ages 10-15 among the participants, we require a 1:5 chaperone to minor ratio. Please ensure that your group size matches this ratio with adult chaperones and minors. Duties will be assigned when you arrive - training will be provided on site before you begin. Tasks could vary - but will be either sorting, packing, labeling, cleaning, or a combination depending on the day’s priorities. Some tasks are not food related, but aid in our effort to provide food for others. Please know you will be working in a warehouse environment and the following rules concerning dress must be followed: While casual attire is welcome; jeans, shorts, t-shirts, etc., attire must be appropriate for a family environment. Wear clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty. Open toed shoes, spandex, and crop tops are prohibited. You may be required to wear a mask, gloves, and hairnet depending on your work project. ALL hair must fit into hairnet - bring a hair band if you have long hair. Jewelry should be limited to rings only. Earrings and watches may need to be removed. Please do not bring personal items like bags and backpacks into the warehouse. Phones should never be set down on counters or pallets. Please keep phones in pockets.
