The Armed REALTOR®: Carrying Safely and Responsibly in the Field

Description

This class is designed for real estate professionals who choose to carry a firearm in the performance of their duties. REALTORS® often find themselves in unfamiliar locations, working alone, or meeting with new clients - situations that can present safety risks. This class provides a comprehensive overview of the responsibilities, considerations, and best practices for carrying a weapon while conducting real estate business.

After completing this course, students will be able to:

Articulate the 4 Firearms Safety Rules and how they apply to any and all situations; Balance professional standards with personal protection within Tennessee firearm carrying laws; Safe handling, storage, and wearing of firearms in client-facing environments; Risk assessment and de-escalation strategies before resorting to force; and Practical scenarios REALTORS® may encounter in the performance of their duties.
