Description

Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee is leading the effort to compassionately feed East Tennesseans experiencing hunger & engage the community in the fight against hunger. 

Duties will be assigned when you arrive - training will be provided on site before you begin. Tasks could vary - but will be either sorting, packing, labeling, cleaning or a combination. Some tasks are not food related, but aid in our effort to provide food for others. 

Please know you will be working in a warehouse environment and the following rules concerning dress must be followed: 

While casual attire is welcome; jeans, shorts, t-shirts, etc., attire must be appropriate for a family environment. 

Wear clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty. Open toed shoes are prohibited. You may be required to wear a mask, gloves, and hairnet depending on your work project. ALL hair must fit into hairnet - bring a hair band if you have long hair. Jewelry should be limited to rings only. Earrings and watches may need to be removed. 

Please do not bring personal items like bags and backpacks into the warehouse. 

Phones should never be set down on counters or pallets. Please keep phones in pockets.
